New contract wins with Cambridge University NHS Trust
Vinci Park UK, the specialist parking operator, has won a new contract with the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. From 1 April 2015, Vinci Park UK will provide a complete car park and security management service at the UK’s leading biomedical campus, which employs 8,000 staff and has nearly 600,000 visitors each year.
The contract, previously operated by APCOA, was awarded after a competitive tender process and will see nearly 40 new staff transferred into Vinci Park’s business.
Vinci Park will offer a high quality 24/7 security service, which will include campus CCTV, control room monitoring and foot patrols. Additional services include traffic control, enforcement and traffic marshalling to prevent abuse of disabled and other designated spaces, to improve traffic flow and keep blue light routes flowing freely. The contract will last for a minimum of five years with the potential for a further two year extension.
Vinci Park is committed to people development, and to support all employees in meeting their role objectives and standards. Following the induction process for all employees, Vinci Park will offer managers training tohelp develop a motivated workforce. The learning and development programme for all employees will provide them with the opportunity to undertake BTEC Level 2/3 awards in ‘Public Space Surveillance’ and ‘Security Guarding’.
Vinci Park UK holds the Silver Investors in People (IIP) status. IIP standards are continually used as a benchmark to create, develop and implement industry leading training provision and people development.
